Would the Braves actually consider this deal?
The Atlanta Braves have been one of Major League Baseball's most disappointing teams in 2025. After seven straight years in the postseason, the Braves are 39-50 and have essentially fallen out of contention.
The team will likely be sellers in the coming weeks leading up to the trade deadline, as there is no realistic hope of them reaching the postseason. This could include some blockbuster deals.
While it's unlikely that they'll trade Ronald Acuna Jr., it's never impossible. David Schoenfield of ESPN proposed three wild trade ideas surrounding Acuna.
One such proposal had him going to the Milwaukee Brewers.
"Milwaukee's offer is enticing with two premium hitting prospects in [Jesus] Made and [Luis] Pena, but it's a riskier package as the 18-year-olds are a long way from the majors and neither is a lock to stick at shortstop, a big offensive hole in the Braves' lineup," Schoenfield writes.

The Braves would be getting a major haul in return for Acuna if this trade came to pass. In addition to Made and Pena, Sal Frelick, Logan Henderson and Abner Uribe would be heading back to Atlanta.
This could help the Braves beef up their pitching staff for the future, while also allowing them to wave the white flag on 2025 after falling out of contention.
It's highly unlikely that this deal would actually happen, but the Braves need to consider several different paths with 2025 having gone south on them.
The focus should be on the future at this point, and even though Acuna, a former MVP is their top player, moving on from him may not be the worst idea.
It will certainly be interesting to see how the Braves navigate the trade deadline.
