Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw has funniest take on pitching clash with Brewers phenom Jacob Misiorowski

Classic remarks from Kershaw.

Clayton Kershaw is heading back to the mound after reaching 3,000 career strikeouts.

Opposing the Los Angeles Dodgers legend will be Milwaukee Brewers phenom Jacob Misiorowski.

Kershaw isn't particularly up to speed on his opponent, though.

When asked about Misiorowski, this is what Kershaw told beat reporter Bill Plunkett:

“I don’t even know who I’m pitching against. (Miz) Is that the guy who twisted his ankle on the mound. The ‘Twisted-His-Ankle’ guy. I know he throws hard. I saw a couple highlights. He throws hard. But so does everybody. Except me.”

Some classic self-deprecation to cap it off there.

Yes, Misiorowski twisted his ankle on the mound, while taking a no-hitter deep into his MLB debut.

He's been one of the best pitchers in baseball since his call-up. The 6-foot-7 23-year old throws 100 and has touched 96 with his slider.

He has a 3.20 ERA to go with 21 strikeouts in 19.2 innings pitched.

It'll definitely be a contrast in styles between Kershaw and Misiorowski on Tuesday night.

That's what makes baseball fun, though. Success can come in many different ways, and Kershaw and Misiorowski will get the chance to see that up close when they face off.
