On Tuesday, an insider revealed some unfortunate news about Anthony Davis that might make fans more enraged.
What is the update on Anthony Davis?
ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Anthony Davis "underwent a procedure to repair a detached retina that he suffered during the season."
Shams did report that Davis will be ready for the start of training camp.
This isn't a huge deal, but Nico Harrison has been picked apart when any negatives surrounding the franchise have surfaced since details came out about the trade.

Davis has an injury history, but this is a rare injury that we don't see often with NBA players.
Shams reported that "Davis played through multiple hits to the face last year."
This was likely something that he was able to play through and handle getting fixed during the offseason when he had time to take off.
The Mavericks did get lucky and moved up in the draft order via the lottery to select first overall in the 2025 NBA Draft.
They later selected Cooper Flagg, which was an indirect result of the move made by Harrison when trading Doncic for Davis.
