New York did the right thing.
The New York Yankees have given in to the pressure.
Jazz Chisholm didn't want to play third base. He stressed to reporters recently that he's a second baseman.
And now, the Yanks have moved Chisholm back to second from third, manager Aaron Boone told Talkin' Yanks on Tuesday.
It's probably the right move. Chisholm is rated by the advanced metrics as an above-average fielder at second base and a below average fielder at third base.

It does exacerbate the Yankees' need to trade for a third baseman this month, but it seems like there are enough available that something will get done.
Chisholm should also be happy with this move, which can't hurt. It's always good to keep your biggest bats in good spirits.

This probably means D.J. LeMahieu will see a lot less playing time, but he's clearly well past his prime and that probably isn't a bad thing.
Now, Yankees fans will just wait and hope a trade for a full-time third baseman happens sooner rather than later.
