The Minnesota Timberwolves have been very busy this offseason, making moves to continue to compete at the top of the Western Conference.

The re-signing of pivotal role players Naz Reid and Julius Randle has highlighted their offseason efforts. While they missed out on superstar Kevin Durant, who got traded to the Houston Rockets, they have pivoted to pursuing another former all-star guard.

According to NBA Insider Jake Fischer, the Timberwolves are one of the teams that have expressed interest in former All-Star guard Bradley Beal, who is expected to be bought out.

"Some confirmed suitors for Beal include the LA Clippers—fresh off agreeing to trade Norman Powell to Miami in a three-team deal that will bring back Utah's John Collins—as well as the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee, and Minnesota," Fischer wrote via the Stein Line.

Beal spent the past few seasons in Phoenix with the Suns, though his role diminished due to injuries and an awkward fit alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Still, he averaged 17.0 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds on 49.7% shooting from the field last season.

The Suns could potentially buy out his massive contract they acquired when they traded for the former All-Star back in 2023. If bought he expected to sign with a contender.

Despite his setbacks, Beal remains a proven lethal scorer who can aid any top contender in the league. The Timberwolves could be looking for additional scoring to help take the load off of Anthony Edwards, who has ascended as one of the best young stars in the NBA.

His fit would be seamless next to Anthony Edwards. His ability to space the floor and create offense would give the Timberwolves another offensive option could be appealing too especially after losing Nickeil Alexander-Walker- who signed with the Atlanta Hawks.
