New York could fill two openings.
The New York Yankees are expected to be active at the MLB trade deadline.
They've been linked to a number of third basemen, and the bullpen could always use help.
SI's Jack Markowski has suggested some different names than the common ones floating around, though.
Markowski says the Yankees should call up the Texas Rangers.
For their third-base woes, the Yankees can acquire Josh Jung. And for the bullpen, they can land lefty Hoby Milner.
Jung was an All Star in 2023 but has fallen off through injury and ineffectiveness so much that he's currently in Triple-A. But the former first-round pick can still be a star, and he might just need a fresh start.

Milner is a sidewinding southpaw with a 2.42 ERA this season. He's on an expiring deal, and would just be around to try and help the Yanks chase a pennant.
Jung's valuation is a bit tricky, given that his current contract runs through 2028, but even he likely wouldn't require one of New York's best couple prospects in return.
It's worth a call by the Yankees to see if they can solve two problems with one trade.
