The Yankees captain proves he is not just powerful, but also consistent.

Another year, another mind-blowing record for Aaron Judge. This one puts him in a class of his own.

According to Codify Baseball, Judge is now the first player in MLB history to hit 33 or more home runs before the All-Star break in three different seasons: 2022, 2024, and now 2025.

Not Babe Ruth. Not Mickey Mantle. Not even Barry Bonds managed this one.

What makes this remarkable is how consistent he’s been through very different circumstances. In 2022, Judge went into the break chasing history and wound up with 62 homers by season’s end. In 2024, the Yankees were in a fight to stay afloat and he still managed to mash his way into the All-Star break with 34 home runs. And now in 2025, even as the team weaves in and out of winning and losing streaks and the stress around the team spirals, Judge is once again anchoring the lineup with MVP-caliber production.

He hit his 33rd homer over the weekend against the Mets. He’s second in baseball behind Seattle catcher Cal Raleigh. The Yankees captain is leading the league in slugging, OPS and total bases.

The two-time American League MVP is currently on pace for another 50-homer season, which would be his third in four years. Only Babe Ruth, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire have managed that before. None of them did it while batting over .300, however.

While the Yankees continue to grind through a slump, Judge has remained a steady force. This latest milestone doesn’t just add another stat to Judge’s growing legacy. It shows how rare sustained greatness is.

Even if the Yankees’ season feels like a roller coaster, Judge remains steady.
