Banchero is going to get PAID!

The Orlando Magic are staying busy this offseason. Paolo Banchero signed a five-year, $239 million max rookie extension on Monday. The new deal includes incentives that could bump the contract to a supermax value if certain conditions are met.

The contract also includes a player option for the 2030-31 season.

With Banchero now locked in, the Magic also have Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs under contract for the next five seasons. Orlando recently added Desmond Bane, who is signed through the 2028-29 season.

Banchero averaged 25.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last season. He turns 23 in November and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Duke. The Magic were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
