The NBA Offseason only continues to amp up the drama. The Phoenix Suns are reportedly in the midst of buying out Bradley Beal, which could lead to a domino effect across the league itself. Jake Fischer revealed how Beal's next team could impact where Chris Paul goes.

"Beal's looming buyout in Phoenix, however, could increase the likelihood of Paul's return to the Suns after the 40-year-old teamed with Devin Booker to lead the Suns to the NBA Finals in 2020-21," Fischer wrote. "As The Stein Line first reported on June 29, Paul's top two preferred destinations entering free agency were the Suns and Clippers … due largely to the proximity factor."

Beal's decision could impact Paul's decision, which could affect the remaining free agent guards this offseason and where they decide to go next.

One of those guards is Malcolm Brogdon. Fischer reported that Brogdon has a robust market, that the Washington Wizards are willing to work out a sign-and-trade with him, and the Los Angeles Lakers are one of his suitors.

"All of these scenarios, furthermore, are sure to have an impact on Brogdon," Fischer wrote. "League sources say that the Wizards are open to sign-and-trade discussions to facilitate Brogdon's exit from Washington and a slew of teams have registered varying levels of interest in the 32-year-old. That list includes the Clippers, Suns and Lakers as well as the Warriors, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Kings and Bucks."

Brogdon is a proven scorer two years after winning the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award with the Boston Celtics. However, because of injuries, he's played 63 games combined over the last two seasons. Outside of his one season with the Celtics, he last played more than 60 games in the 2018-19 season with Milwaukee.

It is now clear that the news of Paul likely landing with the Clippers or Suns could pave the way for a team like the Lakers to land Brogdon.
