The Los Angeles Clippers have now addressed one of the biggest issues they faced during the 2024-25 NBA season.
The team was incredibly thin in the frontcourt, with just about no options down low outside of Ivica Zubac.
They had already brought in Brook Lopez to take address their lack of a backup center, but still had a major need at power forward.
They just fixed that issue in a big way as part of a three-team trade.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Clippers acquired power forward John Collins from the Utah Jazz in a deal where they're sending Norman Powell to the Miami Heat and the Jazz get Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson, and the Clippers' 2027 second-round pick.

Clippers fans have been asking for the team to trade for Collins all offseason and they've now gotten their wish.
The former Jazz forward is a great fit for LA. He'll slide right into their starting power forward spot to address their lack of a power forward from last season.
He gives them another scoring threat as he averaged 19 points per game this past season. Collins also shot 39.9% from three during the 2024-25 season, so he gives the Clippers another player who can stretch the floor.
The move does open up another need for the Clippers as they'll have to find somebody to replace Powell's scoring off the bench.
That could come in the form of a Bradley Beal signing as his situation with the Phoenix Suns is expected to be resolved soon.
Collins was the best option out there for the Clippers to address their frontcourt this offseason. To get him for a second rounder and a player they may already have plans to replace is a big win for them.
