Phoenix center brings runway vibes.
Mercury Go Full 'Love Island' as WNBA Veteran Stuns With Daring Outfit originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Before the Phoenix Mercury’s big win over the Dallas Wings on Monday night, fans were talking about more than just basketball, as the team’s center, Kalani Brown, made a show-stopping entrance in an outfit that looked straight out of the reality show “Love Island.”
Right before the Mercury defeated the Wings 102-72, Brown arrived at the arena wearing a bright orange two-piece outfit. Her top was a crop top with thin straps and a twisted front, showing off her stomach, while her matching skirt was long and tight-fitting, with a high slit running up the side.
She completed her bold look with a small crossbody purse, stacked bracelets and shiny high-heeled shoes.
The Mercury’s official Instagram account shared photos of Brown and captioned them with a fun nod to the popular dating show.
“This week a hot new bombshell has entered the villa,” reads the Mercury caption.
Fans quickly filled the comments section with praise and excitement.
“She’s soooo pretty and the body is TEAAAAA!!!” one person wrote.
Another fan couldn’t hold back their admiration and said, “This lady is PHENOMENAL!!!!”
Someone else chimed in to note Brown’s towering height and beauty.
“That’s definitely a tall beautiful woman,” said a fan.
“KALANI HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE BOMB,” another supporter declared.
Meanwhile, one person playfully remarked, “you really don’t play fair sis,” hinting that Brown’s look was almost too good to handle.
“That’s one juicy orange,” someone summed up the mood.
While her outfit was the talk of social media, Brown also contributed on the court. She scored six points, grabbed nine rebounds and added two assists in the Mercury’s victory over her former team.
Brown, who stands 6-foot-7, has become a strong part of Phoenix’s bench lineup this season, using her size and skill to help the team.
Earlier this year, she scored 15 points against the Minnesota Lynx and added 11 points in a game against the Chicago Sky, proving she’s valuable on both offense and defense.
Phoenix’s win was also fueled by teammate Sami Whitcomb, who had an incredible first half, scoring 29 of her career-high 36 points before halftime. Alyssa Thomas added her 16th career triple-double with 15 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds, helping the Mercury avoid their first three-game losing streak of the season.
As the Mercury keeps pushing toward the playoffs, Brown’s ability to shine both in fashion and on the basketball court is giving fans plenty to cheer about.
