Bradley Beal Could Be Headed to Los Angeles After Surprising Move

Bradley Beal could stay in the Western Conference.

The Los Angeles Clippers just moved on from their leading scorer from last season.

They sent Norman Powell to the Miami Heat in a three-team trade that got them Kyle Anderson and John Collins.

As such, the Heat might no longer be a suitable destination for Bradley Beal, who was tied with a move to South Beach in the midst of the buyout reports.

With that in mind, ESPN insider Tim Bontemps argued that the former Phoenix Suns star could now be a feasible replacement for Powell in the Clippers:

"We’ll see where all the chips fall, but Bradley Beal to the Clippers after being bought out by the Suns feels like a natural way for things to play out," Bontemps wrote. "John Collins and Brook Lopez are a couple of really strong additions for LAC this offseason."

The Heat might not have a use for Beal, as they already have Powell and Herro. The Clippers, on the other hand, could use another off-the-ball threat after losing Powell.

Like Bontemps argued, Steve Ballmer's team has been quite active in the offseason, and a frontcourt of Lopez, Collins, and Ivica Zubac will be one of the biggest and most physical in the game.

Beal would most likely have to come off the bench as their Sixth Man if he were to take his talents to Los Angeles, which is something that might make them a less-appealing destination.

Nevertheless, with that roster, a good coach, and an owner who's clearly willing to spend big bucks to win, they might give him the best shot at winning a championship.
