The scene was set at the Barclays Center for the top two teams in the WNBA to get together on Sunday afternoon.

The 26-5 and Western Conference leading Minnesota Lynx went on the road to take on the 20-10, and Eastern Conference leading New York Liberty.

After a 25-24 first quarter, and New York leading 38-36 at halftime, it was all Minnesota in the second half of the game. The third quarter saw the Lynx win 30-19, and the fourth quarter pushed the lead to 83-71, where Minnesota finished as the winner.

Minnesota saw four players score double digits in the game. The top scorer was shooting guard Kayla McBride, who scored 18 points. Courtney Williams added 14, with seven assists as well.

For New York, they continue to play without Breanna Stewart with her knee injury. They saw five players score double digits, with Natasha Cloud leading the way with 14. Sabrina Ionescu struggled from the field, making just four out of 15 shots, and scoring 10 points in the game.

New York was looking to get revenge for the July 30 loss in Minnesota, where they fell 100-93. The two teams will meet up again later this month, Aug. 16 in Minnesota and then Aug 19 back in New York.

Those are the next two games for the Lynx. For the Liberty, they are on the road for two games this week. They are at the Sparks on Tuesday and the Aces on Wednesday.
