As many around the WNBA expected on Sunday, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was named a WNBA All-Star reserve.

The former No. 7 overall pick out of LSU has now made the WNBA All-Star team in each of her first two seasons with the team, continuing to prove that she is the best rebounder in the league, averaging 12.6 boards per game. She is also averaging 12.4 points, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals to go along with her dominance on the boards.

While most assumed that she was bound to be headed to Indianapolis for the WNBA All-Star game, Reese may also slowly be positioning herself to get into the MVP race.

As revealed by the oddsmakers at Polymarket Sports, Reese has seen a jump in her odds to win WNBA MVP, as she now has the third-highest odds (+530)

The only two players in the WNBA with better odds to take home the prestigious award are Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx and Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury.

Another notable player whom Reese has surpassed in odds to win MVP is Indiana Fever guard, Caitlin Clark, who has fallen to the fifth-best odds on Polymarket Sports.

In terms of the WNBA All-Star Game, it is scheduled for July 19 and will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game is set to tip at 8:30 p.m. ET, and will air on ABC.

The two captains of the WNBA All-Star Game, Clark and Collier, will choose their respective teams on ESPN's "WNBA Countdown"on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.

Needless to say, fans will be all ears to see if Clark ends up selecting Reese, as the two have long been viewed as rivals.
