The first and only time Cailtin Clark and Paige Bueckers faced off at the WNBA level was on July 13. Clark led the Indiana Fever to a dominant 102-83 win over the Dallas Wings with a 14-point, 13-assist double-double, drawing first blood in what is expected to be a long and competitive rivalry between these two young stars.

It does not seem likely, however, that Clark and Bueckers will be able to battle on the court on Friday when the Wings host the Fever at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Clark has missed Indiana’s last five games due to a lingering groin injury, and based on the fact that the Fever have not provided a timetable for her return, it appears that she will miss a sixth straight game on Friday.

Caitlin Clark Draws Attention With Her Outfit

The Fever took to Instagram on Thursday to share some photos of the players boarding the team plane ahead of their game in Dallas. Despite her extended injury absence, Clark has joined her team for their upcoming four-game road trip, and the fans on social media could not ignore her outfit for Thursday’s plane ride.

Clark went for comfort for the two-and-a-half-hour flight to Dallas. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year wore a black oversized black hoodie that is part of the Fever’s recent collaboration with Netflix for the upcoming final season of the highly popular series, “Stranger Things.”

She paired her top with relaxed-fit Nike sweatpants and a pair of silver and white sneakers.

The fans on Instagram shared their reactions to Clark’s comfy ensemble.

“looking good cc 💕😚🫶🏼🔥” a comment on Instagram read.

“Luv my Fever girls sm!!!!!! CC lookin 🔥🔥 in the ST hoodie!!! GO FEVER!! 😎🏀💜🫶” another said.

“CC fit is dope 🔥” declared a supporter.

“Caitlin looks so cute ❤️❤️❤️” a reaction read.

Fever Holding Down the Fort Without Clark

Indiana has gone 3-2 in the five games that Clark has missed. It is worth noting, however, that they’ve won three in a row now, including Sunday’s 93-78 blowout win against their biggest rivals, the Chicago Sky.

It has been a concerted effort from the squad as players such as Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Sophie Cunningham, to name a few, have stepped up in Clark’s stead.

It seems like they will need to do it again on Friday against Bueckers and Co. — and possibly beyond — as Clark continues to recover from her latest groin injury.
