Packers’ season ends with Wild Card loss to Bears

The Green Bay Packers held a lead against the Chicago Bears, but could not hold on and they are done.

The Green Bay Packers jumped out to an early lead over the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card round but it wasn’t meant to be. The Bears roared back to win the game and move on to the Divisional Round, sending Green Bay home for the offseason.

The Packers showed up in the first half, not looking like the team that lost four straight games to back into the postseason. They were up 21-3 at the half in complete control. Chicago made it 21-16 with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter and scored another TD with 4:18 left. Inside the 2-minute warning, Chicago took the lead.

The Packers go back to Green Bay to lick their wounds. They may make some big changes to the coaching staff this offseason, but that will wait for Sunday or later. Green Bay’s loss coming to the Bears really turns the knife in the wound.

Chicago as the two seed will host the highest remaining seed in the NFC next week with the Philadelphia Eagles or Los Angeles Rams playing the Bears.
