Caitlin Clark has grown accustomed to being the first to accomplish something on a basketball court. Just 12 games into her sophomore WNBA season, Clark continues to set and break records, sometimes on a nightly basis.
However, on Tuesday, Clark did something for the first time off the court.
Clark's Indiana Fever take on the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night. While much of the storyline has surrounded the dust-up these two teams had the last time they faced each other, this game was moved to a bigger venue, TD Garden, in the city of Boston.
Clark, 23, during her pregame comments on Tuesday, admitted this was her first trip to the city of Boston.
Naturally, as she revealed this information, she proceeded to make her thoughts on the Boston Celtics perfectly clear.

“This is my first time to Boston, so obviously if you’re a basketball fan, you grew up a fan, you love the Celtics…well, maybe I guess you could hate them," Clark said jokingly.
Clark went on to explain what the Celtics organization has meant to her as well as the impact their history of winning has had on the world.
“I think for myself, the Celtics is one of the premier organizations in the NBA. You always grew up knowing what the Celtics are about. Obviously having won a championship two years ago now, it’s kinda cool just to be in this building and surround yourself with the greatness that is played in this arena, Clark said.”
Clark continued by discussing the impact this game, being played in an NBA arena, in a city without a WNBA presence, has on the league and its fans.
"I think it's a great opportunity for people in this city or fans around the area to come and support a W team here, and I know their game last year had great attendance and great energy...For myself, you don't take these opportunities for granted," Clark said.
