For years, Stephen Curry and LeBron James were foes. They finally got a chance to play together in the Olympics, giving the fans a glimpse of what could've been. Now, they could be joining forces again, this time in the NBA.

According to a report by ESPN insiders Brian Windhorst and Ramona Shelburne, the Golden State Warriors are seriously considering making a run at James:

"A handful of teams -- including the Golden State Warriors, who tried to trade for James in 2023-24 -- considered again whether to make an offer, sources said," reported Windhorst and Shelburne.

The Warriors already tried to trade for LeBron James, but he wasn't interested in taking his talents to the Bay Area, per reports. However, things may have changed, now that the Los Angeles Lakers might be gearing up to move on from him.

Per Windhorst and Shelburne, James didn't care for the way the Lakers handled his contract situation. They didn't offer him an extension or even discuss his future beyond this season:

"The Lakers had already made their statement in not offering James a contract beyond this season. It was abundantly clear that the 21-time All-Star's time as the face of the Lakers had, for the first time, a planned end date, even if James' record-setting NBA career did not yet," added the report.

LeBron has a no-trade clause in his contract, so, again, he would have to give his blessing to any potential offer. That essentially gives him the opportunity to hand-pick his next destination, and he already knows what it's like to team up with Curry.

Both of them have drawn criticism for some of the superstars they've played with, but now that they're both inching closer to the mortality of their basketball careers, it would be a treat to watch them team up to dominate the league together in the same way they did individually in their primes.
