While many people have poked fun at Angel Reese for being a rebound specialist that struggles to actually score, it's hard to deny that the numbers are legit.
In today's 87-81 win over the Minnesota Lynx, Reese enjoyed yet another double-double that featured double-digit rebounds. She had 11 rebounds and 19 points as her Chicago Sky won their second game in a row.
With that mark, she achieved her 40th career double-double in a record-setting 54 games.

After the game, at least one fan did a breakdown of Reese's rebound stats and found that she's not only well-ahead of the rest of the WNBA, but still ahead even if you discount a large portion of them.
Polymarket Hoops calculated that Reese has 255 total rebounds on the season. Removing Reese's infamous "mebounds" (rebounds of her own failed shots), the number drops to 228. Remove her total offensive rebounds and the number drops to just 176. Though if you only count her rebounds through the first three quarters, the number remains at 182.
Meanwhile, the WNBA's No. 2 rebounder this season is Los Angeles Sparks star Azura Stevens, who has 172 of them.
That means, even if you take away all of Reese's offensive rebounds or all of her fourth quarter rebounds, she would still be the WNBA's leader in rebounds, possibly by double-digits.

Reese's fans certainly loved to see it and made their delight in seeing her rebound dominance known:
"Goofies really pretended she wasn't good at basketball because some beer bros sold them some bs," one user remarked.
"(I don't care) what anybody says, this is a tough stat. The epitome of dominating the boards plus she’s scoring well too. Haters mad and quiet right now," another wrote.
"This Angel Reese character pretty damn good at basketball. It's almost as if haters been cappin on her game," wrote a third.
"She’s the best rebounder that sport has ever seen."

It really has been a stellar week for Reese. Two wins, a signature sneaker release, and a second straight All-Star appearance have all come her way in this first half of July.
Now if Reese can just improve her shooting a bit (or maybe a lot), she'll really be a megastar.
