The Chicago Sky have started yet another WNBA season on a rough note, despite major changes in the offseason.

Chicago capped off last season with 13 wins and are in line to have yet another losing season, this time, under first-year head coach Tyler Marsh.

The Sky stand at 5-13, having recently suffered a loss to the Washington Mystics.

As they prepare for their next matchup, set to play the Dallas Wings on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET, their opponent made a significant move.

Dallas decided to release rookie Liatu King, who was previously drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks and claimed by the Wings.

"Thank you, Tu," posted the official social media account of the Dallas Wings.

King was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks in 2025 with the No. 28 overall pick. She spent her college days with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, cementing a legacy with the historic program.

As she started her WNBA career, King played 12 games with the Los Angeles Sparks.

After her stint with the Sparks came to an end, King had another opportunity to take another step in her professional journey, but she played just two games for the Wings.

During her time in Dallas, King posted 2.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.

The Dallas Wings are heading into a game against the Chicago Sky near the bottom of the WNBA standings. Dallas ranks at No. 11 while Chicago sits at No. 12 in the seedings.

The only team with a lower ranking than the two listed are the Connecticut Sun, who have lost 10 straight games.
