Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark drafted her team on Tuesday for the 2025 WNBA All-Star game. Together with the leading MVP candidate, Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the two All-Star captains hand-picked their respective teams.

One of the players Clark drafted was Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron. The first-year player out of Notre Dame earned a spot in the All-Star roster and was drafted as a reserve. She isn't the only rookie, however. Her Mystics teammate, Kiki Iriafen, is also an All-Star and was drafted by the Fever star.

The third rookie to be named an All-Star this season was Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers. Collier drafted Bueckers to her team as a starter.

Clark, during the draft, explained why she chose to draft Citron, admitting she has admired the rookie guard since her college days.

"I'm gonna take [Sonia] Citron," Clark admitted. "Big fan of her game been a big fan of her since she’s been in college. And I’ve been telling everybody I thought she would be a tremendous player when she got into the league and she hasn’t let me down so, I appreciate that."

Citron is off to a great start with the Mystics. Although she's still a rookie, the star guard has shown that she's a fearless scorer. The 21-year-old guard is averaging 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists on 38% shooting from deep.

With her strong start to her career, many have noticed her brilliance on the court, especially when she has the ball in her hands. Citron will have the opportunity to play with the best players on July 19 at Indianapolis, Indiana.
