The big news coming out of the WNBA on Tuesday night was the All-Star draft that featured team captains Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier selecting their respective squads for the upcoming spectacle.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was named an All-Star for a second consecutive season, which means that she was also part of the selection pool. There won't be a Clark-Reese team-up in the upcoming All-Star game, though, after Collier picked the Sky forward to be on her team.

This speaks volumes about the respect and admiration Collier has for Reese — a mutual feeling that is also shared by the former LSU star.

In a recent interview, Reese shared her strong opinion on Collier as well as three-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson. The 23-year-old did not hesitate in naming these two superstars as the league's "best of the best."

"Yeah, [Collier] never takes any plays off," Reese said on Sunday ahead of Chicago's game against Collier's Minnesota Lynx. "And you have to give a nod to her. I mean, I think that's what leaves the best of the best. And she plays both sides of the ball.

"... A'ja plays both sides of the ball, and I think just her, A'ja and Phee, that's just something I admire. Players that play both sides of the ball and don't take any plays off, and that's just something I'm going to continue to add into my game."

As the saying goes, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. This is an age-old adage that applies significantly here in terms of how highly Reese thinks of both Collier and Wilson. The fact that she's acknowledged wanting to incorporate some of Collier and Wilson's best features into her own game speaks volumes about the 23-year-old's high regard for the two veterans.

Reese will get a chance to team up with Collier in the upcoming All-Star Game, which won't only be a fun experience for the Sky sophomore but also an opportunity to learn from someone she considers to be the "best of the best."
