As the Las Vegas Aces look to stay afloat in the WNBA standings during their trip to New York to face the Liberty, they'll have to finish the game without 2024 MVP A'ja Wilson.

Wilson was struggling to find a groove in the matchup, scoring just two points, grabbing four rebounds, and dishing two assists before going in for a contested layup on the Liberty's Leonie Fiebich.

Wilson would fall hard and land awkwardly on her arm, resulting in her going back to the locker room with a wrist injury in the second quarter of the game.

After going back to the locker room, the Aces announced that Wilson won't be returning to the game on Tuesday night.

It's drawn a lot of concerns from fans.

"That's a tough break for the team. Hope she recovers quickly!" One fan said.

"That's tough news for the team, hope A'ja recovers soon. It's going to be an interesting game without her," another fan posted.

It's been a tough year for Wilson, as she's missed three games earlier in the season after suffering a concussion in the Aces' June 11 loss against the Los Angeles Sparks and will now monitor the wrist injury moving forward.

After winning the WNBA MVP award in 2024, A'ja Wilson has continued to play All-Star level basketball, but her points per game average has dropped from 26.9 last year to 21.9 points this season.

Las Vegas will continue Tuesday's game against the third place Liberty without Wilson and try to stay above a .500 winning percentage.
