Lakers predicted to trade for Andrew Wiggins in star-studded 3-team deal

Wiggins could be united with LeBron James.

Andrew Wiggins was the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft shortly before LeBron James returned to Cleveland, but they never got to play together, as Wiggins was the key piece to bring Kevin Love to the Cavs.

Maybe now there's a chance for Wiggins to be reunited with LeBron.

Wiggins went to the Heat at the trade deadline in the Jimmy Butler deal, but he may be moved elsewhere before the offseason is up.

SI shares this trade idea:

"The pitched deal sends Wiggins and Haywood Highsmith to the Los Angeles Lakers, Maxi Kleber Gabe Vincent, Shake Milton, and Jordan Goodwin head to the Washington Wizards, and the Heat acquire Khris Middleton, Dalton Knecht, and a 2032 first-round pick (via LAL, top-five protected)."

The Lakers would be giving up a valuable youngster in Knecht to get the established veteran Wiggins.

Miami would probably be happy ending up with both Middleton and Knecht.

The Wizards move off of Middleton and pick up some veterans that they could keep or waive.

It feels like this is probably the best deal for the Heat, but if the Lakers feel Wiggins raises their ceiling, then maybe it'd be worth it for them, too.
