As one of the WNBA All-Star Game captains, Caitlin Clark had the chance to make a key decision.
Would she draft rival Angel Reese to her All-Star Team?
Answer: No.
Reese was part of the reserves pool.
When those picks came around, Clark went with Kelsey Mitchell, her Fever teammate, and Gabby Williams of the Seattle Storm.
That's when the other captain, Napheesa Collier, chose Reese.
Clark and Reese's apparent rivalry dates to their days as college opponents, Clark with Iowa and Reese with LSU.

They were drafted Nos. 1 and 7, respectively, in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
And whether Clark and Reese like it or not, there's a popular interest in how they compare.
It would've been a fun olive branch for Clark to pick Reese for the All-Star Game, but it wasn't meant to be.
So even in the showcase event, Clark and Reese will be opponents.
