Clark spoke at an event that celebrated her new Nike advertisement.
Caitlin Clark has had her share of challenges in 2025. After winning Rookie of the Year honors in 2024, Clark has struggled with groin and quadriceps injuries as the Fever have tried to find that elusive consistency that would catapult them into the WNBA title conversation.
The Fever took a big step in that direction by winning the Commissioner's Cup over the Minnesota Lynx on July 1. Though Clark missed the game through injury, she celebrated heartily with her teammates following the 74-59 victory -- a result that demonstrated the Fever's potential, especially defensively.
Though Clark's popularity has not waned amid her injury-wracked campaign, she may be considering her future in Indiana nonetheless. Speaking at an event Monday that celebrates her new Nike advertisement on the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, Clark did not commit long-term to staying with the Fever.
"I'm from the Midwest, so this is one of the top places I wanted to come out of college, and I feel like the adjustment has been pretty easy," Clark said. "Our fans have been amazing, and [I] have amazing teammates.
"So I certainly love it here, and hopefully I can play here for a few more years."
Fever fans certainly took notice of Clark saying "a few more years."

After breaking the NCAA career points record at Iowa, Clark joined the Fever and broke the WNBA's single-season assists record in her rookie year. But Clark's numbers are down slightly in 2025, although the sample size is small given her injuries.
In nine games, Clark is averaging 18.2 points and 8.9 assists while shooting 39 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from 3-point range. Before she suffered her groin injury on June 24, Clark had missed 22 of 23 3-point attempts, and her status is unclear ahead of the Fever's next game against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday.
The good news for Fever fans is two-fold. First, Clark participated in five-on-five drills on Monday, indicating her return from a five-game absence is close. Second, Clark indicated in an ESPN interview last month that ideally, she would spend the rest of her career representing Indiana.
"I think it's just like [Pacers coach] Rick [Carlisle] said, 'In 49 other states it's basketball, but here it's just really different,'" she said. "I'm really fortunate to be able to play here."
