The Minnesota Timberwolves are filled with talented players, including incoming rookie Joan Beringer. He is a raw prospect, but he has all the tools to become the next important center for the team.
With the 2025 NBA Summer League coming up, Beringer is getting his first reps of North American basketball. Thankfully, he has some fantastic teammates on the Summer League squad, including some names that will be with him during the regular season.
The Timberwolves' 2025 Summer League squad will have four regular players from the main roster aside from Beringer. Terrence Shannon Jr., Jaylen Clark, Leonard Miller, and Rob Dillingham are those players who are looking to stand out for the team.
Dillingham is a standout amongst that roster, as the 2024 Draft's #8 overall pick will want to establish himself in the NBA after an underwhelming rookie campaign. For Beringer, he is glad to be playing with a guard like Dillingham, as the French youngster has been impressed by the former Kentucky Wildcat.

Beringer Is Excited To Keep Playing With Dillingham
As a big man who must be connected to his point guard, Beringer knows the importance of playing with a good player. He sees a lot of good traits from Dillingham that could help him improve as a center.

On the primary Timberwolves roster, he will likely share the role with Mike Conley Jr., who is the most experienced player on the squad. Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo will probably shine as playmakers as well.
However, the most important playmaker for Beringer today and moving forward is Dillingham. They are part of the Timberwolves' young core, and they are poised to take over from Rudy Gobert and Conley, respectively.
"It's amazing because when I played in OT, I watched him a lot. We're here with a lot of great players... To help him with my pick, and just roll strong, so I can be in good shape with him," Beringer said in an interview ahead of the Summer League.
Beringer Is Adjusting To The NBA Games
When rookies are asked about the move up to the NBA, most of them will talk about the difference in pace. It is the fastest basketball league in the world due to every player having elite athleticism.
The pace of the game might be jarring, which means it will take some getting used to. Beringer himself is a fresh basketball player who only started when he was 14. However, that also means that he is quick to pick up and adjust whenever things change.

“The rookie. The rookie cold, Joan(Beringer) solid I’m not gonna lie, he’s super solid, I like him” pic.twitter.com/oMfziA6o8q
He spoke about the pace of the game and how different it feels, but it looks like he is in good spirits. That is a good sign for the Timberwolves, as they have a rookie who is not complaining about the changes.
"Practice here is really more intense. The intensity is just different, everything is faster," Beringer continued.
The Timberwolves are in good hands with Beringer and the rest of the young players. Dillingham should be the most promising one due to the overall skill set, but he also has a good attitude and approach to the game.
