Clark will be a big part of the 2025 WNBA All-Star game...
WNBA All-Star Makes Request to Caitlin Clark on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever have been without Caitlin Clark for 10 of their 19 games during the 2025 WNBA season due to multiple injuries, including the last five.
Despite missing over half of the Fever's games, Clark was voted in as a WNBA All-Star for a second straight season. With 1,293,536 fan votes, she broke the record for most received by a single player in WNBA history.
Being a top-two vote getter also earned Clark All-Star captain honors, along with Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier. On Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET, the two will draft their All-Star teams for the July 19 game in Indianapolis.
With Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell named All-Stars, Boston as a starter and Mitchell as a reserve, there may be added pressure on Clark to draft her teammates. Still, Mitchell appears eager for the chance to play alongside both Fever stars.
On Monday, the Fever held open practice at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in front of fans and the media. When speaking to reporters, Mitchell revealed she was hopeful that Clark would select her and Boston in the WNBA All-Star draft.
“I hope she picks me," Mitchell said. "I hope she picks both of us. Obviously, reality is that it could go either way. It would be good to have a lot of Fever girls together for that weekend."
Mitchell was later asked what she thinks about the WNBA All-Star game being held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
"It'll be fun," Mitchell added. "I've never seen Indianapolis shining bright, so hopefully it shines bright all weekend. It's a big deal for the city, but I look forward to all the festivities. It will be fun.
