Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, missed his first 2025 Summer League game against the Golden State Warriors. However, he did play in their win against the Miami Heat on Sunday.

Bronny James, who averaged 2.3 points on 31.3% shooting in 27 games in his rookie season with the Lakers, dropped 10 points, two rebounds and one steal to help the Purple and Gold beat the Heat, 103-83.

The 20-year-old played just 11 minutes because he's on a minutes restriction as he works on his conditioning, but he drew the start and clearly impressed with his limited playing time.

Bronny James, in fact, had one of the best highlights of the contest after he made a steal to start the game and proceeded to throw down a powerful dunk. What's even more impressive was how he effortlessly jumped and soared for the slam.

LeBron James, for his part, was simply proud of his son after witnessing his performance. He was particularly impressed by Bronny James' epic dunk, sharing a screenshot of it on his Instagram Stories.

The 40-year-old forward didn't write any words, only putting raised hands and flexed biceps emojis while tagging his son. However, he used the song "Fly Like an Eagle" as background music — a clear nod to Bronny James' high-flying antics.

Bronny James was selected 55th overall by the Lakers in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft. While he didn't get a lot of opportunities on the main roster, he did put up 18.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals in the G League — between the regular season and Tip-Off Tournament.
