Uh oh turned oh yeah.
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement missed a bunt sign — but everything worked out OK for Toronto originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Toronto Blue Jays wanted Ernie Clement to bunt. They were up a run in the fourth inning with two men on.
Clement missed the sign. But in the end, everything worked out.
That's because Clement proceeded to launch a three-run home run, putting the Blue Jays up 4-0 in a game they went on to win 5-1.
“You’re living right when you’re doing that," Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters after the game. "... I’m glad he missed the sign.”

Clement, obviously, didn't realize until after the homer that he had missed the sign.
"If you're going to do that and miss a sign, you'd be better hit a homer or they're going to be pretty pissed at you," Clement told reporters. "So yeah, I'm glad I put a good one on it."
It continues what has been an absurd run for Clement.
He has homered in each of his last three games, as well as four of his last five.
Before this stretch, he had five home runs through more than half the season. He's now up to nine.
Clement has raised his average to .288 and his OPS to .740 with the hot stretch.
His career-high in home runs came last season, with 12, and now he's bearing down on that.

It's no surprise Clement didn't notice the bunt sign. He didn't expect it amid this run he's on.
The Blue Jays probably won't give it to Clement in the next game, at least until he goes a game without hitting a homer.
Or maybe they will, in hopes that it's good luck for the swing that follows. After all, baseball people are superstitious.
And on this night, the Blue Jays will happily take the end result, process be darned.
