Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever moved to 18-14 on the 2025 WNBA season after defeating the Angel Reese-less Chicago Sky 92-70 on Saturday. The Fever are now 4-0 against the Sky, despite missing Caitlin Clark for three of those contests.

With all three Indiana point guards out, including Clark, Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson, the Fever slid Lexie Hull into the starting lineup. And, after scoring two total points in the last three games, Hull delivered against Chicago with 17 on 5-of-9 shooting, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.

And Coach White knew she had it in her.

Stephanie White Makes Lexie Hull Statement

Following the win, White hit the podium for her postgame press conference. When asked about Hull's turnaround against the Sky, the former Connecticut Sun coach made her feelings clear about the fourth-year guard.

“Yeah, I’m proud of her," White said. "She is her own worst critic. She’s a perfectionist. You know, she wants everything to go right all the time. And, you know, it was nice to see the ball go through the net for her and for her to play with such confidence."

White continued discussing the Fever's confidence in Hull, claiming they believe every one of her shot attempts will fall.

"I mean, you know, for us, we believe that every time she shoots it, it’s going to go in," White added. "But for her to finally feel that and see that and play with so much confidence, it’s big for us. We need her. She always does the little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet, but when she knocks down shots, we’re a different team.”

Looking at Hull's Career Season

While Hull had built a name for herself over her first three years in Indiana, the 2025 season has been her best. Despite the recent struggles, she is still averaging career-highs of 6.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

Hull even hit her 34th 3-pointer of the season against the Sky, eclipsing her previous high of 33 (2024). When Hull is on, the Fever are clearly a much better team. In the 11 games she has scored in eight or more points, Indiana has secured an 8-3 record.
