The Brooklyn Nets have followed up a forgettable season with one of the most memorable offseasons in recent memory. They became the first team in NBA history to select five players in the first round of the draft, headlined by No. 8 overall selection Egor Demin out of BYU.

Brooklyn then took fellow guard Nolan Traore out of France No. 19 overall, North Carolina forward Drake Powell No. 22, guard Ben Saraf out of Israel No. 26, and Michigan big man Danny Wolf No. 27.

The Nets also added a veteran guard in a three-team deal that became official on Monday when the NBA moratorium was lifted, via their social media.

"The Brooklyn Nets acquired guard Terance Mann and the draft rights to guard/forward Drake Powell, the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, from the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team trade," they announced.

The trade also included the Boston Celtics, who sent Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick to the Hawks for Georges Niang and a second-rounder. All three teams agreed to the deal on June 24, via ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Los Angeles Clippers traded Mann to the Hawks in February. The 28-year-old averaged 7.7 points on 49.6 percent shooting (36.8 percent 3 PT) with three rebounds and 1.8 assists across 21.1 minutes last season.

The Clippers drafted Mann No. 48 overall out of Florida State in 2019. The 6-foot-5-inch, 215-pounder's best season was 2021-22, when he averaged 10.8 points on 48.4 percent shooting (36.5 percent 3 PT) with 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 28.6 minutes.
