His highlight came on the first basket of the game when he picked off a pass near the three-point line on Miami’s side and took it coast to coast for an emphatic dunk.

It was a big-time play that energized the Lakers and fired up the fans, signaling what many hope will be the first of many dunks for the son of Lakers legend LeBron James. The NBA even posted the clip twice, with the second version slowed down to highlight the moment.

James finished the game with 10 points and two rebounds. He shot 3-for-7 from the field, including 2-for-5 from beyond the arc.

The Lakers’ top scorer was Cole Swider, who also led the team in minutes, playing nearly 27. He scored 20 points and was one of three Lakers starters to reach double figures. Another was DJ Steward, who added 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

On the Miami side, shooting guard Bryson Warren led the way with 18 points.

Next up for Bronny and the Lakers is another Summer League matchup in the California Classic. They’re scheduled to face the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
