Sophie Cunningham had four words.
Fever Star Sophie Cunningham Reacts After ESPN Catches Her Pregame Antics originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham said immediately after Sunday’s 78-74 win against the Seattle Storm that the game “aged her.”
This was an excellent description of how much of a hard-fought win this was for the Fever as they stacked their fifth consecutive victory amid the injury absence of cornerstone superstar Caitlin Clark.
Sophie Cunningham’s Big Game
Sunday marked what was arguably Cunningham’s best game since joining the Fever in the offseason. The 28-year-old went off for a season-high 17 points on a highly efficient 5-of-6 shooting. She also added four triples, five rebounds and two dimes in a team-high 33 minutes of play.
Cunningham has been on a heater of late, scoring in double figures in eight out of the last 10 games. Head coach Stephanie White has trusted the veteran guard with a spot in the starting lineup throughout Clark’s seven-game injury absence, and Cunningham has, without a doubt, repaid her coach’s confidence in her.
Cunningham’s Pregame Antics
ESPN took to TikTok before the game to share a video of Cunningham’s pregame antics involving her Fever teammates. In the clip below, Cunningham is seen conniving with Lexie Hull to troll an unsuspecting Sydney Colson.
Cunningham and Hull just couldn’t let Colson tie her shoes in peace. They saw an opportunity to jump over their veteran teammate, and Cunningham and Hull let their intrusive thoughts win.

To add insult to injury, Cunningham proudly shared the video on her own Instagram stories along with a four-word message for Colson.
“just got dos leched,” she wrote, tagging both Colson and Hull in her post.
Cunningham’s Fever Bestie
It has only been six months since Cunningham took her talents to Indiana. During that span, however, the 6-foot-1 guard has grown close to her new teammates.
There is one particular player on the squad that Cunningham considers to be her “bestie,” though. That honor goes to Hull, with whom she has clearly formed a bond both on and off the court.
Not only are they two of the most important pieces in Indiana’s rotation, but Cunningham and Hull have proven to be quite the menacing duo as well. Sunday’s pregame antics are a clear testament to this fact, and it does not seem like these two have any plans of slowing down anytime soon.
