Throughout their history, there's no doubt that the Texas Rangers have been home to several amazing players, but maybe not have had as big of an on-field impact as outfielder Josh Hamilton.

He spent six years with the organization (2008 to 2012 and 2015), where he accumulated 814 hits, 441 runs scored, 150 home runs, 531 RBIs, 40 stolen bases, five All-Star appearances, three Silver Sluggers and one AL MVP Award.

His time with the Rangers has already earned him some incredible honors, including being inducted into the team's Hall of Fame back in 2019.

However, he is once again to be recognized by the team, as it was announced that Hamilton would be at Globe Life Field before their game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Aug. 9 to receive his Rangers HOF jacket.

Rangers Fans Are Ready to See Hamilton Honored

After the news was revealed, many fans shared their excitement to see Hamilton back in town, ready to relive some seriously impressive achievements.

"Nobody deserves it as much as him that’s my goat right there," said one comment.

"ILL BE AT THIS GAME LETS GOOO THE GOAT," said another.

"An immense talent at his peak. Great moments," a third added.

A fourth stated, "Favorite athlete of all time and the reason I’m a Ranger fan."

"I'm already going to this game because the 9th is my birthday. Josh is my childhood favorite Ranger, so this is literally the best thing that could happen on my birthday," a fifth continued.

"MUCH DESERVED CONGRATS TO JOSH HAMILTON FOREVER OUR MVP," said another.

Hamilton Will Never Make the National Baseball Hall of Fame

There's no doubt that in those five years from 2008 to 2012, when Hamilton earned all of his accolades, including the All-Star nods, Silver Sluggers and MVP, he established himself as one of the best players in baseball.

However, he's someone who will never have the honor of being enshrined in Cooperstown forever, and he won't even be added to ballots due to his rather short playing career.

According to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, "Players who are eligible have played 10 seasons of Major League Baseball," with Hamilton's career only lasting for nine seasons from 2007 to 2015.
