Former Shepherd Hill star Alec Lindstrom, shown here in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2023, was signed by the New England Patriots on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

After the New England Patriots suffered a recent rash of injuries to its offensive line - including projected starting center Garrett Bradbury - the team has signed former Shepherd Hill and Boston College star Alec Lindstrom in time for Wednesday's practice.

Lindstrom, a former Telegram & Gazette Super Teamer with the Rams, was wearing No. 61 as he worked out with the Patriots. He has frequently worked out in his offseasons with former New England Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia.

Lindstrom, 27, has spent the last two seasons playing for the UFL's Memphis Showboats after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. As the starting center last year, Lindstrom allowed just seven pressures. Lindstrom has also played for the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams and New York Jets - getting into one game on special teams with the Jets in 2024.

Lindstrom was a three-time All-ACC player for Boston College, making the first team in 2020 and 2021.

His brother Chris is a three-time Pro Bowler and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons 14th overall in 2019 after a brilliant career at Boston College.
