Having completed his €75million move to Bayern Munich, Luis Díaz revealed he talked to Florian Wirtz regarding advice on playing in the Bundesliga.
“I spoke to Florian and he told me that the Bundesliga is very intense, similar to the Premier League, that it was very physical, the stadiums are always full.
"He also told me that Munich is a very nice city and that I'd enjoy it. He wished me luck. I thank him for that,” the Colombian explained.
In his first press conference since arriving, Díaz also underlined his excitement at playing alongside Harry Kane and Michael Olise who he knew from his time in England.
“I'm really looking forward to playing with them, but also with the whole team. Harry Kane is a great striker with incredible qualities, and he will support me a lot.
“Michael Olise has similar qualities to me. I'll learn a lot from the others and am very happy to share the dressing room with them. I want to get to know them all,” he added.
Regarding his personal attributes and what he brings to the game, the 28-year-old stated he tends to play with joy etched on his face and brings personality to the occasion.
“I like to enjoy football, I always have a smile on my face. I have a strong character on the pitch. Smiling is always important. Being at such a big club is special," Díaz said.
