Marc Cucalon: “I’ve gone from being the kid who dreamed of making it, to the one who now helps others dream,”

Marc Cucalón Reflects on Dream Training Sessions and Real Madrid’s Support in Post United Interview

Marc Cucalón has reflected on some of the most emotional moments of his journey in an interview with Post United, sharing memories from his time at Real Madrid and the support he received during difficult periods.

“When I was 16, the Real Madrid first team called me up to train, I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t even sleep the night before. Isco calmed my nerves and helped me a lot . The pace was otherworldly. I remember those training sessions like a dream; I’ll tell my children about them. The players were very attentive to the youth team players.”

Cucalón also spoke about how his role has shifted over time, moving from aspiring player to someone who now inspires others, after a devastating injury ended his career prematurely.

“I’ve gone from being the kid who dreamed of making it, to the one who now helps others dream,”

He expressed deep gratitude toward Real Madrid and Adidas for standing by him even after his injury, describing their actions as a reflection of the club’s stature.

“ Real Madrid and Adidas renewed my contract when I was injured and already knew I wouldn’t be able to play football again. They treated me very well . They acted like what they are, the best club in the world. I will be forever grateful to Madrid for not abandoning me. During this time, Canales helped me a lot. Arbeloa introduced us, and I’m very grateful to him; I’m very fond of him,”
