Two years after meeting, Josh and Laura married, according to The Denver Post.

In 2004, Josh and Laura became parents with the arrival of their son Jack, according to The Denver Post. The couple went on to welcome a daughter, Maddie, and two other children.

Jack has followed in his father’s footsteps, attending Josh’s alma mater, John Carroll University, where he studies exercise science and is a wide receiver on the football team, according to his bio.

Speaking to Westwood Living, Jack reflected on doing something that his dad did not achieve as a college player — making it to the playoffs at home.

"My dad went to John Carroll and he never had a home playoff game, and not many people at John Carroll have had a home playoff game. That was a special experience," he said. "There were banners all around the school and seeing everyone support the football team was a very special thing."

One day, Jack hopes to work in the NFL, like his dad.

"My aspiration would be to coach in the NFL and play-call hopefully, but I’m studying exercise science right now. That would be another great opportunity for me — some type of physical therapy. Something where I’m working with athletes," he said. "I think that’s my calling — to work with athletes, and whether that’s helping people back from injury, which I have experience doing, on the wrong side, or just getting guys better and healthy."

Josh, Laura and their children have moved a number of times for Josh's jobs. Although he's spent 14 non-consecutive seasons with the New England Patriots, he's also been the head coach for the Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders.

In March 2018, Josh spoke with The Boston Globe about nearly taking a head coaching position with the Indianapolis Colts. He ultimately decided to pass on the role, sparking some whispers that his family was not excited about the prospect of moving across the country.

However, he told the outlet that was not the case, adding that his family is “very supportive."

"My wife’s incredible, my kids are great," he said. "At some point, if I have to move or if we end up moving, they understand that’s part of the situation and they were ready to do that.’’

She’s represented the Patriots at charity events

In October 2015, Laura teamed up with the Patriots Charitable Foundation to help pamper 10 women who had undergone treatment for breast cancer.

The event allowed the women get get massages and manicures, according to CBS News. Laura spoke with the outlet about the event, saying, “I’m inspired. I’m motivated to do more. Each of their stories are unique and heartwarming.”

After returning to the Patriots in 2025, Josh made it clear that his family considered the area their true home, telling the Hartford Courantin February 2026 that his wife and kids were thrilled to be back in their old stomping grounds.

“This is home for us,” he told the outlet. “And so to be able to do this and have a chance to go to another Super Bowl here — my kids are a little older, and it’s so rewarding for me as a dad and a husband to watch them enjoy what’s happening here."

Josh added that his children are "Patriots fans, period."

"But now that we’re back in the organization, it just it makes it that much more satisfying," he added.
