Vinicius Oliveira vs. Mario Bautista squared off in a Bantamweight bout earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 7, 2026) at UFC Vegas 113 inside Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. In an excellent win, Bautista dominated his opponent en route to a second-round submission win.

The two Bantamweights began by trading powerful kicks. Bautista attempted to wrestle first but wound up reversed to the fence for his efforts. After an extended clinch exchange, Bautista cut the corner beautifully on a double leg to gain top position. Oliveira defended himself well from guard, attacked a leg lock, then ate a big right hand swing. He stood over Oliveira for the final minute of the first, solidifying what was otherwise a competitive round with his ground strikes.

Oliveira pressured to start the second but ran right into a double leg takedown. This time, he was quick to scramble and returned to his feet in short time. Bautista was determined and stayed stuck to the Brazilian like glue, mat returning him multiple times. Oliveira finally scored separation and landed a big left hook, but “Lokdog looked winded and off-balanced. Oliveira caught a kick and converted it into a takedown, but Bautista immediately reversed him! He settled into the full guard and controlled his opponent, attacking with the occasional elbow. Bautista passed the guard and advanced into the crucifix. He attacked the crucifix, prompting Oliveira to attempt to explode to freedom.

Instead, Bautista used the figure-four grip to take the back. Half-a-second later, his arm was under the throat, and the fight was over!

This was a hugely impressive performance from Bautista and strange showing from “Lokdog.” On one hand, Bautista deserves major credit for his impressive transitional grappling. His top game was excellent here, as he controlled Oliveira then pushed his attempts to explode to freedom. Conversely, Oliveira looked uncomfortable and tired throughout, so one has to wonder if his disastrous weight cut played a role.

Either way, Bautista is back in the win column.

Result: Bautista defeats Oliveira via second-round rear naked choke
