Hot on the heels of winning the 2025 EAFF E-1 Football Championship, South Korea's women's national team have learned who their opponents will be in the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia.

The Taeguk Ladies have been drawn into Group A with hosts Australia, Iran, and the Philippines.

South Korea will be looking to use their EAFF E-1 momentum and finally clinch the title after suffering a final heartbreak against China in the 2022 edition, despite being 2-0 up.

The 12 teams were drawn into three groups during a ceremony at Sydney Town Hall on Tuesday 29th July, with the continental showpiece to run from March 1st to 21st, 2026.

The top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed sides will advance to the quarterfinals. The four semifinalists will secure their places at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while the losing sides from the quarters will advance to the playoffs.

Group A: Australia, South Korea, Iran, the Philippines

Group B: North Korea, China, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan

Group C: Japan, Vietnam, India, Taiwan
