Thorniley departs Oxford after contract terminated

Oxford United defender Jordan Thorniley has left the club after an agreement was mutually reached to terminate his contract.

The 29-year-old centre-half joined the U's for a second spell in 2023 having spent time on loan at the club in 2021-22.

Thorniley made 46 appearances for the club over the two periods, scoring one goal.

He started his career at Everton before playing for Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday and Northampton Town.
