UNDER-16S: A POSITIVE CAMPAIGN SO FAR

A fine win against Mantova, sealed by Marasco’s header from a Bacuzzi cross. The decisive goal came in the 18th minute of the second half, extending the lead in the standings over Inter, who were held away by Udinese. After 15 matches, the Rossoneri Under-16 side sit on 38 points; prior to the victory over Mantova, they had suffered their first defeat of the season, against Cremonese.

A very positive response, then, and a journey back on track: in the first 14 matches, excluding the game against Cremonese, only positive results had arrived, with 12 wins and two draws. 39 goals scored, the second-best attack, and 13 conceded, the second-best defense. With 10 goals to his name, Rossonero De Nicola was the group’s top scorer up to this point.

Plenty of reasons to smile for Coach Marco Parolo, and to look ahead to the upcoming regular-season fixtures with optimism, before the most intense phase of the season begins with the play-offs. Next up is an away trip to Monza on Sunday, followed by matches against Venezia and Como, before the high-stakes derby against Inter, scheduled for the same weekend as the Serie A city derby.

The group have been delivering excellent responses since the start of the season, and not just in terms of results: commitment, development and a real desire to improve are without doubt the most positive aspects to highlight. A growth path that Coach Parolo himself had already underlined back in November: "Month after month, the team are gaining confidence and awareness."
