The injury occurred during the third quarter when Booker was jogging up the court and accidentally stepped on Onyeka Okongwu’s foot. He rolled his ankle and immediately fell to the floor in pain. Booker was unable to put any weight on the ankle, and the guard needed crutches to move around the arena after the game.
While it initially appeared Booker could miss an extended period of time, the Suns later revealed that he would be reevaluated in one week.

Booker was seen at the Valley Suns game on Sunday prior to the team’s matchup against the Miami Heat without any crutches or a walking boot. That appearance suggests the injury may not be as serious as first feared, as he was able to walk and put weight on the ankle without assistance.
Head coach Jordan Ott confirmed that the injury was not as bad as it initially looked, reiterating that Booker will be reevaluated in one week.

With Booker and the team indicating he could return sooner than anticipated, Suns fans can breathe a sigh of relief that the injury was not more serious.
Phoenix now turns its attention to its next matchup as it faces Miami on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m.
