Scottie Scheffler absolutely dominated as he won the American Express
It is a new season, but it is the same sort of thing on the PGA Tour.
Scottie Scheffler conquered the American Express in the first stateside event of the season on Tour, and he did so with a Sunday afternoon where he put nothing but distance between himself and the field.
Scheffler missed out on this event last year as he was dealing with a hand injury, but it hardly slowed him down across 2025 as a whole as he would go on to win the PGA Championship and Open Championship.
This victory is officially the earliest one that Scottie has ever had in a season and if that is representative of an even more stellar season sitting in front of us from him⊠good luck to anyone else who dares to get in his way.
Also⊠Scottie has now won 20 events on the PGA Tour. It took him 151 starts to get there, the second-fewest ever as he (shocker here) trails only Tiger Woods who took 95.
We have seen the last few years all serve as The Year of Scottie Scheffler. 2026 hardly looks any different.
