Serie A giants Juventus are evaluating the possiibility of a swap deal involving Weston McKennie and Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Juve boss Igor Tudor has asked the club to sign two midfielders and one of those could be Cristante. Damien Comolli is exploring creative options to secure the second midfielder.
McKennie’s current deal at Juventus expires in the summer of 2026 and he is younger than Cristante, but the Roma player will strengthen the Bianconeri’s Italian spine. This is the Old Lady’s goal this summer and Tudor appreciates the 30-year-old’s profile.
There have been contacts through intermediaries by Juve and everything can come down to whether Gian Piero Gasperini allows Cristante to leave or not, having also coached him at Atalanta. Roma do rate McKennie but they would rather swap Lorenzo Pellegrini with the USA international. But this possibility doesn’t excite Juve, as things stand.
