Real Madrid eye move for 17-year-old English striker also courted by Man United

While Real Madrid are not expected to sign any players in the ongoing January transfer window, the club remain on high alert surrounding young talents across the globe.

In the last few weeks, the club have been linked with a variety of young talents with immense potential. And the next one to join Real Madrid’s radar is Leicester City prodigy Lorenz Hutchinson.

The 17-year-old prodigy is currently dazzling within Leicester City’s youth academy. While Real Madrid does not plan to make moves in the current winter window, they are laying the groundwork for a summer swoop for the striker, reports Defensa Central.

Who is Lorenz Hutchinson?

A striker by trade, Hutchinson’s numbers are turning heads across Europe. Playing primarily for Leicester’s Under-18 side, the forward has netted a remarkable 14 goals in just 13 appearances.

This lethal efficiency has already earned him a call-up to the Under-21 reserve team, where he has also scored, and he is knocking on the door of the senior squad in the Championship.

Scouts describe Hutchinson as a highly mobile centre-forward with exceptional physical strength and maturity beyond his years.

However, Florentino Perez faces stiff competition. Manchester United are reportedly pursuing the British starlet aggressively, having made the most significant moves so far to secure his signature.

Real Madrid views Hutchinson as a strategic signing who fits their transfer pattern perfectly.

With the player turning 18 next summer, the club are pulling out all the stops to win the race against the Premier League giants, potentially even considering him for an immediate first-team pathway.

Although with Endrick also returning and Gonzalo Garcia finally providing the goods, it will be interesting to see whether or not that is possible.
