Damian Lillard says his Milwaukee landlord, Jrue Holiday, had poor Wi-Fi signal

Damian Lillard rented Jrue Holiday's Milwaukee area home for two seasons. He said he brought tenant complaints directly to his landlord.

Damian Lillard is sharing more about being back "home" in Portland, including his eagerness to play with another former Bucks great Jrue Holiday.

The 35-year-old NBA veteran coming off an Achilles injury brought some laughter to a media gaggle July 23 at his basketball camp while discussing elder millennial technology struggles during his time in Milwaukee.

Lillard and Holiday have admired each other's games for years now. The two won Gold together for Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics alongside Milwaukee Bucks great Khris Middleton. Lillard and Holiday had discussed playing alongside each other since 2020, Lillard said. They ended up being traded for each other in a 2023 deal.

Now, they will finally be teammates with the Trail Blazers as Holiday was traded earlier this month to Portland less than two weeks before Lillard signed back with the team where he spent most of his career.

"That's one of the things that I'm extremely excited about," Lillard said.

Lillard reflected on his relationship with Holiday, saying Holiday was actually his landlord when he lived in the Milwaukee area. Lillard had been renting Holiday's Milwaukee area home the last two seasons while playing for the Bucks. The Holidays never publicly shared the location of the home.

Lillard said he brought tenant complaints directly to Holiday, even while greeting each other at a game.

"We talked a lot, I was complaining to him about the Wi-Fi," Lillard said.

A clip of the interaction between Lillard and Holiday was shared to social media and Lillard said fans were wondering what the two were discussing.

"We was literally talking about his Wi-Fi at his house," Lillard said.

Lillard has said his time in Milwaukee was in-part difficult due to his family remaining in Portland, but he looks fondly upon his years with the Bucks.

"I had a good two years, (it's) a great organization," Lillard said. "Everything was done proper ... it was a good situation. It just wasn't what my full adulthood and my career had been. (Portland) is where I built my life and my home."
