Jake Ferguson start or sit: Week 16 fantasy football advice

We break down the fantasy football outlook of Jake Ferguson ahead of Week 16

The 6-7-1 Dallas Cowboys welcome the 10-4 Los Angeles Chargers as 2.5-point home favorites on Sunday. The Cowboys aren’t completely out of the playoff race, but would need to win out, while the Eagles to lose out — and they play the Commanders twice. But, with even that sliver of hope, I’d expect them to put their best out there this week.

And their best has often included TE Jake Ferguson, who has had a great fantasy season. Ferguson hasn’t scored over the last four games after finding the end zone seven times in his previous seven games. Has he slowed down or is it the usual touchdown regression?

Below, we’ll go over Jake Ferguson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 16.

Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys, TE, Jake Ferguson

The Chargers are ninth-best at stopping tight ends from scoring fantasy points this season. Derwin James can do that to you. But, Ferguson continues to see good usage. He hasn’t topped 60 receiving yards since Week 3, so we would very much like for him to score a touchdown this week in our fantasy playoffs.

The good news is that Ferguson has still been getting looks in the red zone, with five RZ targets over his last four scoreless games. I see no reason to sit him this week and expect a good showing from the TE4 in fantasy for the year.
