The third year of flag football as a sport sanctioned by the Arizona Interscholastic Association was another year of explosive growth. A fourth conference was added to accommodate the expanding high school sport, an in-season tournament was hosted by the Fiesta Bowl and more teams were recognized on a national level. The talent continues to rise across Arizona.

1. Samaya Taylor-Jenkins, Chandler Hamilton, Sr.
The Republic’s reigning Offensive Player of the Year put up 1,783 receiving yards and 32 TDs on 121 receptions to end as the state’s all-time leader in yards, touchdowns and receptions as Hamilton went 21-0 and won its second consecutive 6A title.
2. Malaysia Roebuck, Marana, Sr.
Nobody hauled in more passes this season than Roebuck with her 137 receptions. Totaled 1,716 yards and 24 TDs for a team that reached the 6A semifinals.
3. Emma Fischbeck, Mesa Mountain View, Sr.
Doubled her production from last year, leading the state in receiving yards (1,849) and tying for the lead in TDs (32) on 95 receptions. One of three wide receivers in the state to average over 100 yards a game.
4. Jaiyana Bogan-Jacobs, Gilbert Campo Verde, Fr.
The fast-rising basketball recruit quickly showed she’s already one of the top flag football players in the state, putting up 969 yards and 25 TDs on just 53 receptions for the 5A state champions. Also returned four punts for touchdowns and finished with 31 overall on the season, fourth-most in Arizona.
5. Markiah Riley, Chandler Hamilton, Jr.
Transferred from Glendale Ironwood and instantly became an impact player with 1,660 yards, 28 TDs and 122 receptions. Her addition turned the Huskies’ offense from a great one into a juggernaut.
6. Kinsley McCarty, Mesa Eastmark, Jr.
Recovered from an ACL tear to help lead Eastmark to a runner-up finish in 4A, recording 98 receptions for 1,272 yards and 20 TDs.
7. Deztany Toyota-Villalobos, Sierra Vista Buena, So.
One of the most dynamic players in Arizona, running for 445 yards and five TDs on 34 attempts to go along with 1,481 receiving yards, 23 TDs and 82 receptions. Returned four punts for a TD as well, ending with 37 TDs total, second-most in the state.
8. Ela Witcher, Gilbert Highland, Fr.
Already looks like a difference maker in her first season at the high school, hauling in 1,352 yards, 68 receptions and 15 touchdowns for the 18-2 Hawks.
9. Kayla Tacker, Casa Grande, Jr.
Not just one of the best receivers in southern Arizona, but all of the state, racking up 1,259 yards, 23 TDs and 73 receptions.
10. Mikaela Oberstein, Mesa Eastmark, Jr.
She was a key force for the 4A runner-ups, catching 125 passes for 1,525 yards and 17 TDs, finishing in the top five in the state for yards and TDs.
